The current deliverable summarizes the work conducted on the implementation of in vitro bioassays as new screening systems in water quality monitoring, starting with a description of the relatively broad bioassay panel as it was selected before evaluation of the water treatment technologies in the case studies. The case studies were conducted together with work area 1-3 partners. The case studies had a twofold aim: 1: To assess the performance of the novel water treatment technologies with bioassays, mainly focussing on removal of bioactivity. 2: Further assessment of the optimal application domain of the bioassays, selecting subpanels suitable for particular applications. This was done in a final evaluation using case study results as a main guidance. Finally, we placed these bioassays in an innovative novel testing framework as designed by Waternet (called SIMONI) to further promote dissemination and practical application of the DEMEAU bioassay panel in water utilities
