As a detector for neutron induced recoils, the response of Makrofol detectors is strongly dependent on the incident angle of neutrons. To investigate the effect of different incident angles, we performed simulations with different Monte Carlo codes, MCNPX and Geant4, and compared the results of the two codes. Simulated curves of the angular response were determined and experiments were carried out to verify the simulation results.
