The theme of the XX World Congress of the International Union of Forestry Research Organizations (IUFRO) was "Caring for the Forest: Research in a Changing World". During the World Congress the IUFRO Subject Group S4.11-00 "Statistical Methods, Mathematics and Computers" organized 4 sessions, 2 of which were joint sessions. These proceedings are the result of those sessions.
The proceedings contain 19 contributions to selected topics concerning the evaluation and uncertainties assessment of forest growth models, environmental statistics, information management for ecosystems and landscape, statistics and remote sensing.
