Until today, the urban agglomeration policy of the Federation has not considered landscape explicitly. Different instruments and approaches developed in the last years can increasingly be applied for the requirements of landscape development. Among them are notably the agglomeration-programmes. The Federation can also support innovative approaches with model-projects. Finally, it is important to establish institutions of responsibility at the level of the agglomeration to address landscape questions.
