66% of cuttings from stump sprouts produced roots when treated with 1% IBA and kept at 100% humidity. The rooting efficiency of cuttings varied greatly between root stocks. Some stumps yielded 100% rooted cuttings.  Partial cuttings gave better results. Harvesting young sprouts in summer yielded a higher percentage of rooted cuttings.
