Geology and climate, but also soil and vegetation conditions with different types of land use show important effects on water quality and streamflow regime of small catchments. Flow and quality characteristics are compared with catchment parameters. Among the parameters used, the percentage swampy land and forests in each catchm.ent are considered an important factor influencing streamflow regime as well as water quality.
