Full-scale shallow landslide experiments are carried out on newly conceived test sites in Switzerland simulating the shallow landslides by releasing large amounts of material. Test barriers are set up at the end of the acceleration zone to study the acting impact and filling loads and the interaction between the filling material and flexible barriers. The material consists of a mixture of earth, gravel and silt saturated with water.
