The results show clearly that the storm was an important event for the population. General satisfaction was registered concerning the handling of the consequences by the forest authorities, however deep concern remains with respect to the possible repetition of such an event in the near future. Nonetheless, the storm did not trigger a change in individual behaviour. The Swiss population favours an increase in the use of the renewable resource timber.
