Data protection
Based on Article 13 of the Swiss Federal Constitution and the provisions of Swiss Data Protection Law, all persons have a right to the protection of their private sphere and protection from misuse of their personal data. We are committed to protecting your privacy. Personal data is handled in accordance with the requirements of the Swiss Data Protection Law and, where applicable, with EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”). The processing of personal data is limited to data that is required to operate a functional website and for the provision of content and services. We only collect personal data that is necessary to implement and process our tasks and services or if you provide data voluntarily.
You have the right to request information about any of your personal data we process. In particular, you have the right to request information about the purpose of the processing, the categories of personal data, the categories of recipients who will have access or were disclosed with your data, the duration periods for saving the personal data, whether there is a right to adjust/correct, erase, restrict or object, transmission of data (as long as it does not cause a disproportionate effort to transmit these data), and the source of your data if not collected through us.

Visitor and usage data
Our system records data and information about the computer used by the user automatically and with every visit on our website. The following data are collected:

This storing is done due to security reasons to ensure the stability and integrity of our systems.
We analyse the usage of our web presence, i.e. views and downloads of publication records. We do not use any third party application for this and no personal data is transmitted to third party servers for this analysis. This analysis is exclusively for the purpose of optimizing the website with regards to usability and the provision of useful information about our services. A merger of data with other personal data sources or disclosure to third parties is precluded. No evaluation of personal data takes place. All analyses are based on anonymized datasets.

Lib4RI undertakes technical and organizational security measures to ensure that any personal data it collects and processes via the DORA websites remain confidential and are safeguarded from accidental or unauthorized access, changes or disclosure, loss, and destruction; moreover, only the persons who require access to personal data due to their job and work-related duties are granted access on a need-to-know basis.
The measures selected depend on the type of information, the type and purpose of use, and the technology available.
